Real Conversations, Imaginary People

Project Woo Woo is the brainchild of comedian Lisa Orkin fulfilling
her deep desire to look deep into the hearts and minds of the most important
spiritual, historical, and intellectual influencers, past and present, dead or alive all played by
some of the most brilliant world-class actors, writers, and comedians, in Los
Angeles. It is part comedy, part performance art, part serious interview. Unlimited by time and space,
Lisa suspends reality to talk with people she has always wanted to. There is not
one minute that Lisa does not believe she is talking to the real people, making
Lisa’s fantasy world organically funny, wonderfully wacky and strangely enlightening.

Lisa Orkin is an award-winning comedy radio producer and filmmaker. The LA Times
has described her as “a deadpan blend of Anne Hathaway and Elaine May.”

Hailed by the press for her “charismatic delivery” “strong storytelling
abilities” and her “distinctive humor”, performing in such live LA venues as the Upright
Citizen’s Brigade, Tongue and Groove, Story Salon, Tarfest, Max Ten, and Sit Spin.

In her role as Creative Director for the award-winning Radio Ranch, Lisa has over 15 years experience in copywriting, scripting, audio production and voice acting in both traditional and digital media.

What some people are saying on iTunes…

Literally the first time I’ve got through a full interview with Tim Ferris…

Enlightening, meta, postmodern, real, so real, honest funny!

I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard while listening to a podcast… I’ve had a bus of fool commuters stare at me oddly while I doubled over in laughter.

Host, Going There

Lisa Orkin has funny in her DNA. A no-nonsense view of the world (even though the world is nonsense) and a friendly interview style. I’m a guy, but I get her female perspective. Lisa delivers a fun funny and worthwhile journey into her world.

Part comedy, Part performance art, part inspirational podcast for woo-woo Seekers. There’s nothing else like this out there. The actors playing the incredible list of guests seemed to channel whomever they’re portraying, putting the woo and woo woo listen and you’ll find yourself Googling if dead people are really dead because the actors are so eerily convincing.

Lisa is funny and the show is wonderfully wacky and strangely and enlightning. I’m looking forward to more episodes. Easy listening.

I’m not sure how she did it, but Lisa managed to make a show that’s absolutely hilarious and really enlightening. You must listen!!!

Wow  – Lisa is cool, creative, and absolutely hysterical! This is a one-of-a-kind show – my place for a good laugh.
